This Prospector 15 is one-foot shorter and slightly wider than our Prospector 16. It has a steeply rockered hull for extreme manoeuvrability, extra depth for confidence, and plenty of stability.
The classic down-river Prospector design is a stable, quick turning hull with ample rocker suitable for rivers and streams. The symmetrical shape allows a solo paddler loaded with gear to easily turn around in the bow seat and paddle backwards.
Down River canoes tend to have a greater rocker which softens the effects of crossing sharp eddy lines, where contrary currents tug at your canoe.
Wenonah's Tuf-weave material is an interwoven fabric made of 50 polyester and 50 fiberglass that out performs either material alone. The Tuf-weave layup results in their most durable composite canoes. Tuf-weave canoes offer improved impact resistance and are a great compromise between light weight, performance, and price.
The Wenonah Prospector 16 in Tuf-Weave weighs 56lbs (25.4kg)
