The Roanoke is a versatile, stylish touring deck from Palm Equipment. The Roanoke incorporates a range of storage options including a pocket in the body tube and webbing on the deck. For comfort it has a breathable body tube and neoprene deck. Features 8mm pre-stretched shock cord decklines with a reinforced rim, and is shaped for comfort on long paddling trips.

Technology

Supratex neoprene

Nylon reinforced neoprene that’s supple and stretchy, yet holds its shape, maintaining an excellent fit for your spraydeck.

Small Diamond neoprene

A textured nylon face fabric adds abrasion resistance in wear and tear areas, without compromising the neoprene’s stretch.

XP 3-layer fabric

Our performance 3-layer fabric is supple, durable, highly waterproof and breathable. Supplex nylon 6 woven face fabric has a great soft feel and is highly durable. A DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment prevents the fabric from becoming waterlogged so that the fabric stays breathable. A hydrophobic, microporous polyurethane coating is applied to the face fabric. The pores are too small to allow water droplets to pass through, but large enough for water vapour to pass through to the outside air. The nylon 18 denier mesh lining protects the waterproof membrane and disperses moisture to provide the largest surface area for moisture absorption and transfer. Waterproofness: 20,000 mm. Breathability: 4,000 g/m2/24hrs. Breathability tested by the A1 method.

Elastic Shockcord

A bungee cord sewn to the spraydeck, which fits tightly around your cockpit rim. Shockcord spraydecks are very dry on a wide range of cockpit sizes, since they are highly stretchy, and they are easy to put on and quick to remove in an emergency.

Gripsil

A grippy, durable coating which provides excellent grip and a watertight seal on your kayak’s cockpit.
