The Escapade defines efficiency and superb performance in one compact package. We redesigned this one in 2009, reshaping the bow and stern to improve efficiency, and adding more tumblehome to make solo paddling easier. A good fit for smaller paddlers, those who pack light, and people who prefer a shorter canoe. At 16' 6" you can add a center seat to make it a maneuverable solo, as this is the most friendly length to switch between solo and tandem paddling. Truly a superior hull design and a great paddling canoe.
Wenonah's Ultra-light hulls are stiff and incredibly light. They are ideal for efficient distance paddling and for all people or conditions that demand the lightest gear. Our construction features a structural core and ribs laminated into the hull and sides. Extra fabric layers are then added to strengthen specific targeted ares.
Aluminium plates are strategically laminated into the hull, onto which seats, foot braces and all hardware are then riveted. This gives a highly secure connection and eliminates rivet heads on the exterior.
Kevlar, is the fibre used for aerospace, body armour and bulletproof vests, it is amazingly light and strong. Wenonah have used it for more than 30 years to construct many of the lightest and toughest canoes on the planet. Wenonah Canoe is the world's largest maker of Kevlar Canoes.

Limited Lifetime Warranty Info
All Wenonah Canoe products are warranted to the original owner against manufacturer’s defects in materials and workmanship for life. If you ever experience a product failure due to a manufacturing or materials defect, we will repair or replace it without charge at our option. Damages due to negligence, improper use, accident, wherein the manufacturer is not at fault, will be repaired at a reasonable charge. Shipping costs will be assessed to the product owner at the discretion of the manufacturer. A copy of the original purchase receipt is required for all warranty claims.
